Screening Mammography

Preparation for Mammograms

On the day of your examination:

• Do not apply deodorant, body powder, or lotion on your underarms or around the breasts. These products can contain ingredients that will show up as artifacts on your exam.
• Mammography is a scent free environment so please do not use any perfumes or highly scented products prior to your appointment.
• Wear clothing that can be removed from the waist up.
